Miloslav Druckmüller is a Czech mathematician and a university professor. He is a modest man with passion for astronomy and photography. Sometimes he takes his students away from the blackboards up to the mountains where they discuss science and astronomy. Besides his love for mountaineering, he also became engaged in photographing the solar eclipse.
In the documentary, we join Prof. Druckmüller on an expedition to the USA for observation of the full solar eclipse in the summer of 2017. We follow the story of a scientist who, thanks to his hobby, resurected the scientific interest in observing the solar eclipse. It is also a story of a father challanged by his daughter. And it is an opportunity to make a film to which professional scientists can relate, but which also explains the physics of the Sun to general public in an accurate and interesting way through the work of Prof. Druckmüller and his team.
